Faceplate in WinCC 11

cisem Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hello, I want tomakea faceplate in WinCC v11. Iuse faceplate for valvesfor example. I have a lot of valves and I want to use one faceplate for all of them. so wheni press one of the valve symbol, its tag must be loaded. in wincc 7.0, I can domany faceplates but in wincc 11, I can not find howto make it. How can I make a faceplatein WinCC 11. Thanks for your help !

Then you click with the right mouse button on one of this objects and choose "create Faceplate". More informations can be found in the help of WinCC V11. best regards

cisem Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hello, Thank you for your reply, I know that you say mark the objects and create faceplate by the right click I want to learn how can I connect the tags. In WinCC 7.0 I do like that: First of all, I write a FB for example a valve. then I call this FB e.g. in OB1 so the instance DB is created. (you can see it "db.jpg" in fp.zip in attachments) Then I create the structure data in winCC according to this DB (you can see it "structure.jpg" in fp.zip in attachments) After thatI call the structure type ine.g TCP/IP->New Connection->Tags So the tags are created. (you can see it "tags.jpg" in fp.zip in attachments) Lastly Ido faceplate. For a faceplate I insert a new PDL from graphics designer so I design the picture. After the design I connect the tags properly. Thus I write the part of the tag for example ".Limit_open" (you can see it "fp.jpg" in fp.zip in attachments) So when I click the symbol of valve, the other part of the tag is loaded. Example we have 3 valve. And their names are valve1, valve2 and valve3 if I click the first valve the tag is "valve1.Limit_open" if I click the second one the tag is "valve2.Limit_open" And So WinCC 11.0 I write a FB for example a valve. then I call this FB e.g. in OB1 so the instance DB is created. (I DID IT) Then I create the structure data in winCC according to this DB (I create new data type from the libraries menu) (you can see "datatype.jpg" and"datatype2"in fp.zip in attachments) (I DID IT) After that I call the structure type in e.g TCP/IP->New Connection->Tags So the tags are created. (I create the tags to the tags menu) (you can see "datatype5.jpg"in fp.zip in attachments) (I DID IT) Lastly I do faceplate. For a faceplate I insert a new PDL from graphics designer so I design the picture. After the design I connect the tags properly. Thus I write the part of the tag for example ".Limit_open" (ı design the faceplate and mark the objects then create faceplate by right click. My problem is here.How can I connect tags? If you look over the "datatype31.jpg" in fp.zip in attachment you may see my problem. I can not choose the wincc datatype. I only choose flexible data type. So it is not work. I succeed in making declaring each variable separately for each field but I could not do a pointer directing DB, like you can do with Wincc2008, keep looking info regards Emerson

Saint Germain Experienced Member Joined: 8/18/2010 Last visit: 3/18/2023 Posts: 42 Rating: (9)	Cisem, I followed your steps and pictures and when I got to the step pictured in datatype31 where you choose the data type, I had no problems. The data type I just created was available for selection. Did you make sure you clicked the green check mark icon in the HMI user data types window once you were finished entering the tags? After I selected the correct data type in the faceplate properties screen and completed the faceplate creation, I linked a tag from the tag table to it by clicking on the faceplate to view its properties. Under the interface tab I made the connection to the correct tag with the same user data type. To make it so that when you click on a pump the tags change to show the values from the pumps icon that was pressed, you might have to use multiplex or indexed tags. Clicking on each pump icon would set a different value in the index tag. I have not tested this, but it should work. Attachment Faceplate_Tag.JPG (1065 Downloads)
