Counting Pulses from Electricity Meter

brettdixon Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Hi there, Im not an expert with the Logo or PLCs but we have a simple program that performs the following: Users inserts a coin, and X amount of KW of power will be dispensed. We have it all wired up and it is functioning. We have an up and down counter counting the pulses and then turning of after a set amount of pulses is reached. Problem is, the meter is pulsing but the counter is counting and hence not switching the supply off!. We tested the pulse and its reaching the logo (which is I8) but the logo isnt doing anything with it. Its working on the simulation but thats it! Please help im lost.!

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi Brettdixon, I have modified your example: Deleted some blocks (B016, B015, not necessary) Deleted Block B032 and negated R from B030 (same function) Deleted Block B002 and changed Block B030 (from 5 to 10 same function then before) Changed I8 >I6 (I8 is connected to a poti on my LOGO!) I checked it with a LOGO!12/24RC and it works well. As it works: Press I1 (text message 1 comes up) Press I3 (text message 2 comes up and Q2 is ON) Toggle I6 (after 10 times Q2 turns OFF and the display Never the less it works like before the modifications. brettdixon Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Hi there, thanks for your prompt reply. Ive had a look and im using the logo230RC BUT the pulse from the electricity meter is 27V. If used a step down transformer for my incomming supply to the Logo and then used a 24V logo im guessing this will work! (i assumed the pulse from the meter would be 230V same as the supply running through it) Ill order 1 from RS and give it a go in the morning! Would you agree? Thanks for tweeks!
