donp9999 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	How will the LOGO! be affected with the new Daylight Savings Time in US & Canada? Beside the User's Defined settings, will Siemens have a patch/fix for this?

Tools/Transfer/Summertime\Wintertime --> freely adjustable (flag below) With the next version of LOGO! (0BA6) this issue should be fixed. There will be a FAQ coming soon to this topic. Sig_Tech Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Entering the DST manually isn't really a fix. DST corresponds to a day, not a date. I'm really disapointed with Siemens after contacting them about this problem. There is no fix for the 0ba5 (which we have many) and the 0ba6 isn't out yet. Very Poor!

The new DST comes after the 0ba5. So how the new DST should be availlable in 0ba5? Maybe you can find some help in the following FAQ: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/25414565 This FAQ is new, and it will be availlable in english not before a few days. best regards

Sig_Tech Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Dst corresponds to a day not a hard date ( eg. spring =second sunday in March).If I use the work around I would have to reprogram this date every year. The many Logo's we have are scattered around a large city, not ina plant. This yearly update costs a lot of time and money. I was hoping the logo Soft program would be changed so I could update them just once. I need PLCs now that can do the dst properly. I don't want to purchase more Logos with the same problem. There was plenty of time for Siemens to address this problem before it happened.That's why I'm disappointed.

Then you indeed need to buy a 0ba6 or higher (which is not available yet). As you should know that is one of the bigger differences between the oba4 and 0ba5. What should have happend if you had used a Pico form Allen Bradley?

Sig_Tech Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Thanks for the suggestions. As far as I know the 0ba6 is not available yet. I have found another PLC manufacturer that has day of month dst programming capability. I really hate to change PLC manufacturer but I am forced to do so.
