S5 and counters

Randel Member Joined: 10/19/2005 Last visit: 6/30/2006 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello all, I programmed a counter as follows: ZV Z1 LC Z1 A DB2 T DW0 U -Reset R Z1 The input of the counter is controlled by a AND gate, with one i/p being a 1 sec. pulse and the other input a freq. between 0-10Hz. If i look at DB2 DW 0 with my UniOP i see the display counting up until the 1 sec. timer times out. I would like to display only the result after the counter is stopped and display this value until the next time the counter is stopped. Thank in advance for any solution. Jan

If you only want the value of the counter at the end of the 1 sec. puls you coud try to get the negative edge of this plus. When this happens you copy the value of the counter at this point to another value in the DB and so you only see the end value of the Counter for one second each. This is really no big thing to do, even in S5 [;)]. Best regards J_Bell
