Usually the LEDs are also displayed if no hardware configuration and / or program has been loaded into the simulated PLC.

Which version is your PLCSim? The current version is V5.4 SP8.

The SIMATIC Manager is Version 5.6

 and I have installed PLCSim V5.4 PS8, 

but still not LEDs light.

Are you still asking how to download the hardware configuration and the PLC program to the simulated PLC with S7-PLCSIM?

Hi JJ1984,

the "status LEDs" of plcsim must work, if not, plcsim does not work.

There are several posts in the forum for this, always a complete deinstallation of plcsim was neccessary. Only an update will not work.

1. please deinstall plcsim v5.4 via windows control panel (also if the latest version is already installed)

2. reboot the system

3. install plcsim v5.4 sp8 update 1 again

Afterwards the LEDs should be shown an plcsim should work again.
