The error message that comes up gives a hint to what to do. Web search the file mentioned in the message. This worked for me on a Windows7 PC.

The installation of Microwin on Windows10 is different. I cannot get the Help to function and the PPI cable with USB also does not work. 

So my hope is very small that you will find a solution, but do follow my suggestion independently of my own findings. Let me know if you find a solution.

You should consider a VM installation with Win 7, if you want to have full functionnality of Microwin v4.0 SP9. You might br able to install Microwin v4.0 on Windows 10, but as you can see from the previous posts you will probably miss some important functionalities.

Good morning,

I would like to share the following information.

For a while I try to run Step7 Microwin with Windows10. So far I was installing version 4.0925 of MicroWin, but I could not communicate with the PLC because I could not set the ' communication interface, practically opening the PC / PC interface, you could not choose interfaces to communicate, simply because they were not present, and I had to run with two PCs with different operating systems.

To solve the problem just download Siemens from Step7 trial version version 5.6 and install it on Windows10; the installation of Step7 v5.6 overwrites everything you need for the PG / PC interface. Now you can choose interfaces with Microwin, and finally go online with the PLC S7-200.
