Heureka, it works. I made a new installation on a second PC and it works. I will try it also on the first PC. I guess it is important to not copy the unpacked SDK into another directory as I did it.

What file or directory is this error referring to?

I have same 7-zip problem and it solved by using latest 7-zip.

but new problem occurred looks like permission error.

please see attached picture.

This error occurred when select RUN on IOT2000.

How to solve this error ? Is it related I set root password on IOT2040 by PuTTY ?

I have reinstalled all to drive C: as you suggested. Everything works as the previous installation in drive E: except for the changed paths now referring drive C.

But the problem stays the same: i586-poky-linux-g++.exe: error: CreateProcess: No such file or directory

As before, the Eclipse IDE works, it parses the code without errors. To me, it seems that  i586-poky-linux-g++.exe encounters a problem during execution. I wonder if I have a DLL problem.

If I open a cmd-window and pasted in the run-string from eclipse, I got the exact same error. And I notice that other users in this forum observe that one windows machine has trouble while another is fine. This might be an indication of DLL a problem. 

In Linux we might use a virtual environment to isolate obscure dependencies. I must admit that as an embedded system developer I experience far less problems in the Linux system as opposed to Windows.

Do you have any setup for cross code development for iot2000 hosted in Linux? I could do native compiling in the iot2000 itself in an emergency , but I prefer do do cross development as I plan do do a lot of c-coding.

Anyhow, I do like the iot2040 a lot! Fine work
