Simadyn-D Communication on Sinec-H1 Bus with S7-400

Mitesh Sheth Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	I want to communicate a new S7-400 system with existing Simadyn-D on Sinec-H1 bus. I have CP-443-1 in the S7-400 system for communication. Following are my queries------ 1.Whatother hardware is required for Interfacing S7-400 System and Simadyn-D System on Sinec-H1 bus? 2.Will i need to make any software changes on Simadyn-D side for communication? 3.Are there any special blocks on S7-400 side for communication with Simadyn-D on Sinec-H1 Bus? Mitesh Sheth 1.Whatother hardware is required for Interfacing S7-400 System and Simadyn-D System on Sinec-H1 bus? In the Simadyn D rack you will need CSH11 (6DD1661-0AB1) module. Mitesh Sheth 2.Will i need to make any software changes on Simadyn-D side for communication? Yes, you will need to modify existing program for Simadyn D (Struc or D7-SYS)and reprogram CSH11 using Sinec NML software. Mitesh Sheth 3.Are there any special blocks on S7-400 side for communication with Simadyn-D on Sinec-H1 Bus? As I know you should use AG_SEND/AG_RECV or AG_LSEND/AG_LRECV in S7-400.

There are a few more things i would like to know In the Existing Simadyn-D system they are using CP143 for Sinec-H1 communication. Since CP143 is existing in the current system hence i dont think i will have to change anything in Simadyn-D system? Will i require a SCALANCE X101-1AUI to interface between CP143 of Simadyn-D and CP443-1 of S7-400 System?

Existing Simadyn-D has CSH1-6DD1661-0AB0 for communication on Sinec-H1 as you have already mentioned. So there wont be any need to make any changes on Simadyn-D side? Will we require SCALANCE X101-1AUI for interfacing of Simadyn-D CSH1-6DD1661-0AB0 with S7-400 CP443-1?

KSN Diamond Expert Joined: 8/25/2006 Last visit: 1/15/2026 Posts: 2221 Rating: (282)	As I know CSH1 (this is very old module) was predecessor of CSH11, and I'm not sure will it communicate with S7-400 or not, because I didn't work with it. In any case, I think, if you want to make any data exchange between Simadyn D and S7-400 you will need to make some changes in the Simadyn D program, i.e. at least configure new telegram for data exchange with S7-400.
