I'm currently working on a project using TIA Portal V20 and the Runtime Manager with a WinCC Unified Comfort Panel.

For this project, I need to implement a database connection to log or retrieve data. The database should either:

• Be hosted in the cloud, or
• Be local to the panel itself (embedded/local database)

My questions are:

1. Is it possible to set up a direct database connection from a Unified Comfort Panel?
2. If yes, what are the supported database types (e.g., SQLite, SQL Server, MySQL)?
3. Can this be done natively within the panel (via scripting, CWC, etc.), or do I need an external intermediary (e.g., a PLC, edge device, or PC runtime)?
4. Is there any official guidance or example projects for this type of integration?

Any advice, experience, or documentation links would be greatly appreciated.
