We need support regarding the integration of an S7-1500R CPU with an ET200SP HA Distributed I/O system.

System Details

• Controller: S7-1500R (Redundant CPU system)
• Distributed I/O: ET200SP HA
• Interface Module: IM 155-6 PN HA
• Carrier Module: 6DL1155-6AU00-0PMO (OPMO redundant carrier)
• Engineering Tool: TIA Portal

Configuration Observations

• We are using only one IM 155-6 PN HA, inserted in slot 1 of the OPMO carrier.
• TIA Portal gives a compilation error if:
  • The IM is placed in slot 0, or
  • A second (redundant) IM is added.
• According to the ET200SP HA documentation, the OPMO redundant carrier can also operate with a single IM, so the physical configuration appears valid.

Issue

Despite following the recommended network topologies and guidelines, we are encountering configuration/diagnostic errors on the IM 155-6 PN HA, and we are unable to achieve a stable configuration with the S7-1500R system.

Additionally, we notice that:

• Most Siemens examples and references show ET200SP HF with S7-1500R/H
• ET200SP HA examples are mostly shown with single S7-1500 CPUs or PCS 7 systems

Questions

1. Is the S7-1500R (or S7-1500H) officially compatible with ET200SP HA (IM 155-6 PN HA)?
   If not, could anyone clarify whether this is a technical limitation or a system design restriction?
2. A supplier informed us that ET200SP HA I/O is intended mainly for DCS systems and may not be compatible with PLC-based redundancy systems.
   Can anyone confirm or clarify this statement?

3. If ET200SP HA is not supported with S7-1500R/H, which redundant Siemens controller is recommended for use with ET200SP HA (e.g., S7-410H / PCS 7)? 

   FYR: The panel is already wired as per HA IO's manual and changing IO's will have big cost effect and timeline.

FYR : Below error from Online access Diagnostics of IM module.

Have you used "Online access" to set the exact PN name and IP of every PN device in the TIA Portal project?  If not, start with that.

Do you have topology defined?  If so, do you have it wired identically from, for example: from PN device 1 port 1 to PN device 2 port 2 to PN device 3 port 1...

Yes, I have used online access for diagnostics and assigning the name and ip, but still no luck on the communication between controllers and IM's.
