We have a lot of different siemens PLC's and often the servicemen are from different parts of the world. 

If we want service for our machines, troubleshooting and updates, we have to fly them in at great expense and host them while they do the job. 

Does anyone know if there is a sort of “remote access” level of software license? So i can just plug my laptop in and fire up teamviewer and let them work via remote control? Some of our machines are new-ish and have built in network access, but most dont have that. 

Since we dont do any actual programming ourselves, and just need to analyze the software for troubleshooting purposes at most, we dont need the full license for our own use. 

Any ideas?

you may have a look here: Software and licenses

There are rental licenses, but they are only valid for limited time period. I would use a floating license for the latest TIA version (if new version is released, there will be an upgrade package), possibly as Combo license if there are machines where Step7 classic is required. The one license can be used for older TIA versions, too. Finally going to be cheaper than letting one come to your site.
