In exisitng Simovert MC Position sensing for motor encoder in slot C used. What is the meaning of this finction. P172=posion value from PLC P173= Enable bit from PLC Please explain the function and same how can be implement in Sinamics S120

Masterdrive MC p172 is BICO parameter for selection of connector from which position setting value is to be read. p173 BICO parameter for selecting the binector from which command for setting actual position is to be read in. In S120 please check p2514 & p2515. Hope this helps.
