Valve open / close times

DavieS Posts: 64 Rating: (2)	I have a number of Flowrite SKC / 599 valves, 2 to 6 inch where the time to fully close is 2:15 and to fully open is around 1:20. Anyone know why? Thanks Attachment flowrite1.jpg (999 Downloads)

Albis Posts: 387 Rating: (130)	Dear DavieS, The exact opening or closing time depends on the pressure difference Δp. Close time of 2:15 is still an acceptable value according to our valve & actuator specialist. Otherwise you should check the actuators without a media flow. Please note that there are normally open and normally closed versions which may influence the behaviour also. Best regards, Albis
