Was it working and now not, or is it brand new (hence the P60=5) The default baud rate for a CUPM is still 9600, so there should be no reason why the serial port won't connect. I'm going to hazard a guess that you are using a USB to serial converter as well, so please consult the documentation for that as well. If the drive is in a healthy (i.e. commissioned) state, then switching between P60=5 and P60=7 is possible, however, if not commissioned, then you need to run through the procedure otherrwise P60=7 is not permitted. Or if you can figure out how to connect, then download your backed up parameters Please refer to the manual

Regatwork Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	With regard to connecting to serial port via USB adapter this appears to be dependant on the make of laptop used. Some just do not have enough power to drive the coms. Best idea is to connect via a fixed 9in I/o port on a desktop type unit or use a shorter lead to connect via USB to serial. You may have to make your own lead up using a larger gauge cable and the connections as below. I had the same problems with a 5mtr lead and this cured it.
