Wil Posts: 23 Rating: (1)	Starting by wishing everyone a happy 2006 !! [:D] Working with WinCC flexible 2005 HF4 I have a problem in my application. For a batchprocess we store recipes and make them selectable for production start. In the order underneath at pressing a 'Save Recipe' buttonI call: - GetDataRecordName "Recipe", RecNr, RecipeNam, RecipeName, RecName, SavingGDRN - SaveDataRecord ..... - ExportDataRecords ..... At the function GetDataRecordName the variable SavingGDRN returns very often a 12 which means that the function is not executed correctly. (System function not performed because of an error) For the operator which gives in a new recipe or changes one, it is not visible that the action is not completed correctly. (Of course that can be programmed) I have changed the code to: Do While SavingGDRN <> 4 If SavingGDRN <> 2 Then GetDataRecordName "Recipe", RecNr, RecipeNam, RecipeName, RecName, SavingGDRN End If Loop Eventually the code is executed very much and this leads not to a solution. My questions are: - How can Idiscover what causes the function to return 12: Error ? - How can I change the code to a error free function ? Kind regards Wil

The Brain Posts: 1611 Rating: (121)	Hi, if you use a "standard" Recipe View, did you get a fault message "12" ? did you use a alarm view? I think, there must be a message and the cause of the message if you get a recipe fault with the number "12". What panel did you use?

I can add some extra information: I have never seen the alarm when a recipe was modified and saved, only when a recipe with a new name was created. I don't see a alarm message on the alarmpanel. When I open the file that is beeing exported the export is not working (logic) but also then I don't see an alarm in the alarmpanel. I use a pc as visualisation. I am sorry I can't provide you with more information.... Wil

The Brain Posts: 1611 Rating: (121)	Hi Will, i did not realy knew if you use a "standard recipe view" from flexible. When you use this "standard recipe view" and create with this a new "recipe" , did you get the same message? I think, it is possible that your script work to "fast", so thefunction to "create a new recipe" are working, but the script has been ended before the new recipe are "constructed", so you get a fault message. You can try to make a "loop" that the script working "longer" and show what hapen.

Wil Posts: 23 Rating: (1)	Hello, I have found out that on my 'old' pc it doesn't cause that much trouble. I will try to find out what the cause could be. A lot of variables are changed: - Flexible 2004 > Flexible 2005 HF4 - Slow desktop > Fast laptop - Maybe tags, scripting, store location: I don't think so but will compare these. I am not familiar with creating a loop functionality. How can you create this in script and how is it possible to determine the 'loop time' ? What do you think that the fault message should be ? (Maybe this could give me a lead to the problem) If I delete a data record (other system function) a message appears correctly... Wil

Wil Posts: 23 Rating: (1)	Hi brain, after a while with a commissioning this problem has my full attention again. The function you add is helpfull to me. I have changed the code like your example and then it works. The problem is that I use it in a different way. The 'Data record number' is not a constant ('1' in your example) but it is a variable. It is a tag called 'RecNr'which generated by: Set objRecv = HmiRuntime.Screens("Recipes").ScreenItems("RecipeView") RecNr = objRecv.RecordNumber If I start from zero andsave two recipes, the Data record numers are '1' and '2'. If I give in a third recipe it automaticlyassignes number '3'. At the moment I run the script,message 290011: Data record not available' appears in the alarmpannel. (I did not see this before) The help file is indicating: The data record with the specified number does not exist. Check the source for the number (constant of tag value). If I answer the question: 'Save changes to data record...' with no this message appears in the alarmpanel. If I answer the question with 'yes' then WinCC RT stops and says 'HmiRTm has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience'. If I start RT again, then I see that the recipe does exist (although RT stopped it has created a new data record). Afterwards I can save it without any problem, because the data record already exists. It is my intention to create a new data record. Do I have to create a new data record with a different function or something like that ? I add three pictures in which you can see that I don't use 'Data records' in my development tool. Wil Posts: 23 Rating: (1)	Hello, What I have done next: I took the old project created by WinCC flex 2004 which did not have the problem of crashing. I converted it to WinCC flex 2005 and the problem occurs. So, without any changes made to the program, it does not work anymore. If I read the documentation of 'GetDataRecordName' I see the following: 'Note: If the recipe of data record do not exist, wildcards ("###") are written to the tags'. Is it possible that it is a bug in WinCC flex 2005, or is the fact that it worked fine in WinCC flex 2004 is pure luck ? Please anyone, respond, I am in the situation to descide tochange toa 'complete' different way of programming this. But I don't want to because I think it might work properly and to change will cost a great deal of time. Wil

(Records are presented on view) DB2: Store multiple recipes with each multiple records. (UDT) DB3: Active recipe. Functions are made to: Open a recipe: Copywith a certainindex of DB2 to DB1 Save a recipe: Copy from DB1 to DB2 with a certain index. etc. A very simple and basic solution! This also includes that the functionality of recipes is not used anymore. This also includes that the cost of every machine drops with the license costs.[:D] Greetings Wil
