TIA Portal V18 - S7-1500 V2.9 

I have a PC which has an application I am trying to communicate with.

The software Vendor has assured me that communication to a Siemens PLC is possible.

There is not much configuration in the software package however,

I am informed it uses a CIP connection.

The only changes I can make are:-

   Modify the ‘start assembly/word number’ (default is 11)

   Select to use bit or word type.

   If I choose bits, I then select format - 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 or 256

Then there is a button: ‘Apply Settings and Start Server’.

That is all. 

I have no further information or documentation and there is no EDS File.

I have read up on and downloaded LCCF CipClient, EnetScanner and EnetIO Scanner documentation and libraries.

Cip Client appears to want too much information I don't have, like tag names on the CIP side.

I tried the Enet Scanner but am receiving Message 7002, subfunctionstatus 7000, statenumber 11

It appears as if I am not establishing a connection at all.

I have no idea if I am even using the correct Library tool. 

Any help would be graciously received.
