Hi Everyone,

I need to enable the function IP Forwarding on CPU S7-1512SP (firmware v2.9) with CPs7-1542SP (firmware v2.1) using TIA v17 update5.

I cannot check the box to enable this option.

I don't know if with this hardware configuration this option is forbidden.

On the hardware description of the CP1542SP the S7-routing feature seems to be included.

Anyone knows something about it?

Hi Federico,

To enable IP forwarding you need a S7-1500 V2.8 or higher and:

• A CPU with at least two Ethernet interfaces.
• Or a CPU with one Ethernet interface and a CP 1543-1 with firmware version V2.2 or higher providing the other Ethernet interface. In this case the function "Access to PLC via communication module" must be enabled for the CP in the CPU.

So it is unfortunately not supported for SIMATIC ET 200SP CPUs, expect the new CPU 1514SP-2.
