What is the function of A2 terminal in siemens  thermal overload relay? Please see the attached image for reference.

I am just guessing and I have never used a thermal overload from siemens.

Once the overload relay is mounted, it might be difficult (or even impossible) to access the A2 terminal on the contactor. Because of this reason the A2 terminal is repeated on the overload relay, where it is easily accessible.
