I've written an additional program called "Nettoplcsim", which allows an OPC Server or any other S7 communication client software to connect to Plcsim from outside. It's open source, you can download it from the sourceforge website (google search for nettoplcsim).

Yes, but not with Siemens Simatic.Net OPC server, as there it's not allowed to connect to localhost (for whatever reason).
