Farrukh1986 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Dear all i am new in STL .I converted one ladder circuit in to STl. i have attached the ladder circuit. and here is STL code A I 2.0 AN I 2.0 = L 20.0 A L 20.0 AN T 0 = Q 0.0 A L 20.0 L S5T#20S SD T 0 NOP 0 L T 0 T MW 40 NOP 0 NOP 0 i want to ask from where these two commands came from i can not understand these = L 20.0 A L 20.0 Thanks in advance Attachment ladder.jpg (808 Downloads)

JD2Grenoble Regular Member Joined: 12/18/2020 Last visit: 10/3/2025 Posts: 23 Rating: (2)	It's a stack. You must write the local data before use it on each PLC Cycle. You can't save data from one PLc cycle to the next in Local Area. In fact it's a temporary memory, and it can use in every FB/FC/OB blocs. If you want to save data from one cycle to an other one, yuo should use MW area (FW? I use German instruction) Or DB area.

If you add (in CONT) a variable, the software will change the L 20.0 adresse. It's just to try to write the CONT in LIST instruction. Best Regard.
