That is good question.

NC and PLC  data , normally saved in the NCU ram backup y battery .

when you make archive /back up --they have been saved to HDD in MMC,

so when you hard copy HDD all data will be copied.

But I suggest you make new back up --from NCU to MMC again

Hello,

I have just bought a cnc lathe CTX400 S2 with sinumerik 810D with mmc 102/103 and SHOPTURN.

It was very slow to start the software and during the use I have some windows 95 errors.

Soo I have removed the HDD and make a backup of that  and I've wrote it on a new HDD.

Now the CNC start very fast and I don't have any windows errors, soo Im very happy of that.

THIS IS THE QUESTION:

are all the machine parameters, PLC parameters and what else.. located on my HDD BACKUP?

or are located in other place? for example PCMCIA card

most trick is --back up one at time, don't back up MMC, 

make NC 1st then PLC
