Table web custom control in V19 doesn't display

Thomas_Drst Joined: 5/30/2024 Last visit: 8/13/2025 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	I made this table in web custom that I imported on TIA V20 then loaded on a MTP1200 Comfort panel in V20 and it works perfectly. But because of other bugs encountered in V20 we had to switch back to V19 (TIA and panel). Since then, the table no longer loads. What's weird is that the web custom loads fine because you can see the filter part of the web custom. It looks like there's just a problem displaying the table. Maybe a compatibility problem between Tabulator and V19? Another strange thing is that in TIA I can see my table when I put the block on the view. It just doesn't display on the panel...

However, in the past I have seen some differences in the display of CWCs when comparing different panel versions. This was due to different levels of support for new CSS attributes. This is due to different versions of Chromium being used in the software. You may have noticed that your panel does not ask for updates as often as a modern browser. In fact, it doesn't ask for them at all. Since Chromium is part of the framework on which the system is built, changing the version of the framework can bring a newer version of Chromium. But this change is not done very often. Kind regards Stefan

Here a picture of the problem, on the left is on the V20 panel and on the right is V19. What can I do to have my table on the V19 panel ? Do I need to restart the custom web from scratch ? I also tried to download the siemens custom web table and it still doesn't display even though it was made to be in V19.

Without deeper knowledge of the CWCs you are using, I can only recommend a deeper investigation by Siemens, which you can ask for by creating a support request. Kind regards Stefan

Rohan_Renu Member Joined: 3/22/2022 Last visit: 9/4/2025 Posts: 6 Rating: (1)	Hey Thomas, Not too sure how much help this would be, but if you tried to simulate your project you might be able to use Chrome DevTools (F12) Console log to see if the Custom Web Control is giving any errors to why its not displaying the table. I have noticed over time that some features of HTML that get enabled/disabled over versions, if you have TIA v18, you could test it on that to see if it works - if it does then might be a bug with v19, if it doesn't, maybe the CWC utilises something that isn't enabled/allowed pre-v20. Also make sure you're using v19 update 3, there's usually a lot of bug fixes and patches. Would you be able to leave the panel on v20 and use TIA v19 project? (This does work, as I have done it before)

Also when I develop on TIA Portal I can see the table. It's just not displayed on the panel. I don't know if there's anything I can remove from my css or what's making it not display? Stefan Arcularius Platinum Expert Joined: 1/21/2013 Last visit: 9/17/2025 Posts: 4110 Rating: (635)	Hi Thomas, I have tested the CWC with static values in these Chromium versions: 55.0.2859.0 83.0.4103.0 88.0.4286.0 117.0.5888.0 It worked with all of them, and these versions (the oldest is from September 2016) should cover the Chromium versions used on the Unified Comfort Panel. However, for testing, I need to modify the code.js file to use the static values, as I have not tested it in a WinCC Unified device. Without these static values, no table is drawn. This leads me to believe that providing the data to the CWC could be the reason. How is the data provided? Are you using JSON.stringify()? I know from the past that there are some issues between different device versions because stringify can only serialize properties, not functions, unless support is added directly to the functions by the developers. But if this is the reason, the behavior should be the same when using a V19 PC Runtime (with the same device version). Have you tested your CWC with the latest V19 Runtime? Kind regards Stefan
