Problem Description:

I installed TIA Portal and Automation License Manager (ALM), and everything works fine for a few days. Then suddenly, TIA Portal shows the error:
“The licensing of STEP 7 could not be completed because the Automation License Manager service is not running.”
Even though the ALM service is set to automatic, it stops working and won't start again. I tried reinstalling TIA Portal and ALM multiple times, but the issue comes back after 2–4 days.
