Software images have been updated to V16.0.0.4 using TIA portal OS upgrade tool. Any suggestions please? Downgrading to 15.1 or windows 7 is not an option.

Edit: Problem solved, needed to copy the full content in the ComfortPanels_V16.0 to the C:\Program Files\Siemens\Automation\Portal V16\Data\Hmi\Transfer\16.0 not only the image folder, as it says in the siemens site!!! I hope this helps some one!

I just want to share some comments: I have TP700 Comfort Panel and a project in TIA V16. I've tried to install many *.fwf files directly with the ProSave, choosing only the file from an X folder with no success. You have to copy all folders of the downloaded images and paste it into C:\Program Files\Siemens\Automation\Portal V16\Data\Hmi\Transfer\16.0, replacing the originals (see attach, new files are highlighted). Back to TIA Portal, you have to change your device version (V16.0 in my case). When you perform the firmware update (HMI> HMI Device maintenance> Update Operating system), the ProSave pops up and propose that path (for V16.0) to install de OS. And voilá. For me even though TIA V16 upd4 did not have the extra folders (which are outside images, zip file size difference can be seen), TIA V16 upd2 had this extra ones. I copied & overwrote the extra folders outside images folder in the path and it worked perfect!
