I need create a communicationbetween my PC and aPLC S7-200 by OPC Server and then test variables by OPC Scout.I have to communicate with PPI network. My OPC Server is Simatic Net.Is possible thatI use Simatic Net as OPC Server to communicate with PLC S7-200? I need to know ifI can communicate with Simatic Net, not within other kind of OPC Server. If the answer is affirmative alsoI would like to know how to create communication between Simatic Net and S7-200.

Denilson Pegaia Diamond Member Joined: 9/23/2005 Last visit: 1/2/2026 Posts: 4436 Rating: (1487)	Hi, it is possible to use SimaticNet to connect a S7-200 to a OPC client (Simatic Net has OPC Server interface). You can use Profibus, MPI, PPI or Ethernet, but you can't use serial / USB adapter.

NowI know thatit is possible to use SimaticNet to connect a S7-200 to a OPC client with PPI cable but I don´t know how create the connection between SimaticNet and S7-200 to test variables in OPC Scout.
