How to calculate rating of DC drive to AC drive

max78 Regular Member Joined: 5/27/2009 Last visit: 7/31/2025 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi, if you need to replace a motor with the same torque and power you only need to buy a motor with the same torque an power :) In general the problem is when the DC motor has a base speed lower than a standard 4 or 6 pole AC motor. Normally you need the same torque than before, and for having the same torque with higher base speed you have to buy a bigger motor than before (higher power), or you have to buy a not standard motor. Just calculate the nominal motor torque of the original motor and make the inverse formula with the new speed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torque Of course torque and power are not the only parameter to consider for dimensioning a motor....

PANDAV Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	FIRST TORQUE,BECAUSE IN SAME RATING MOTOR AC & DC--- TORQUE OF DC MOTOR MORE THAN AC. BUT I WILL SUGGEST TO YOU THAT WHY NOT PURCHAGE SERVO MOTOR.
