I’ve just started working with TIA Portal (just trying simple things with FBD language) and run into a problem. Hopefully someone could help me out with this (simple) task,..?

The setup is fairly easy; I have a (function) FC1 which contains an (input) %I0.0 which is directly linked to an (output) %Q0.0. The FC is called (I simply dragged and dropped) in my (main) OB1 where I connected a second (input) %I0.1 directly to the EN of the FC (as a conditional call).

With this program I can now only switch the output %Q0.0 when both inputs (%I0,0 & %I0.1) are active.

Now the problem; When the output (%Q0.0) is active and I switch only the conditional input %I0.1 (to EN of the FC) the output Q0,0 stays activated?? I don’t want this!!

Please help me out, greetings

 That is easy,When you disable a function to be called by turning EN to false that instance is not called.In this case, when you disable FC try to execute some additional code that transfer safe states to variables.The best way you can manipulate program execution is inside the function.When you define a reset function, set all output to safe state.

Although I’m not sure if I get it already, you’ve gave me a good lead to pursue with… Think I need to do some more research on the reset function within the FB,...
