I am new to PLC, so please go soft on me. I have set up CPU1200 to communicate via modbus to a another system using the example in following link: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/au/en/view/83130159 I have tested in using the watch table and its working fine. Now the next step if for me to move the physical input and outputs across medium. I have the data blocks read register and write register set up as an array of word from 1 to 1024. So is it possible to move the DI inputs (0 to 7) into the write register 1. And similarly can I write to output memory what is in the read register 1. Also is it possible to set the REQ ID1 and REQ ID 4 to an high so that the MB_CLIENT is automatically and continuous. Thanks EDIT: I managed to get the Input output bits to move to an array of word using the move block.. I would still like to get MB_CLIENT function to read and write automatically without toggling the REQ_ID1 or REQ_ID4 button. |

How does the system memory and clock memory work. At the moment I have enabled it in the device configuration. But I cant see it toggling at all. Even the Always On is 0. Do not know what mistake Iam making. I am using TIA V13. EDIT: seems like i was only downloading software changes. Once I downloaded the hardware changes the clock memory started to work. However, I am still struggling to get the sequencing between the two MB_client to work. Is there any examples somebody can point to or help me with.
