If i have one CPU 317-2dp and 10 slaves (ET200S), and one TP177A config whit Protool there the CPu are the master. But if i dont have markt "only master on bus" in the TP177, cant i put in an value on the TP and order the Cpu to change for example an value.??? Attachment protollparameters.JPG (405 Downloads)

I can tell you, that if you have a S7-300 with decentral periphery, then this S7-300 is a maste on this network. If you put an HMI in this Profibus network (S7 protocol), the HMI will benot the only master on the bus (since the CPU is already a master).

The Communication between the hmi deviceanda S7 CPUis called a S7-Connection.So, if you have more hmi devices or CPUs on thenetwork you should disable the option "Only master on the bus". Bye

NickeNyfiken Posts: 65 Rating: (1)	Hi again Back after the chrimas I starting wonder too when i looked into the projekt, the CPU should be the master but the TP170A have also been selected as master in Protool, that why im asking you how it should be. I have looked into another projekt with S7-300 and an MP270, there the parameter also is cheked for only master on bus... Hmm that make me wonder.. And Sorry i have an TP170A (not TPP177A)and they used Prootool. /
