Hello inih; This might be a problem of communication ressources/connections available for the OPC communications. The CPU reserves a number of connections for different types of communications, if there are none left when you reserve them, you woudd not be able to establish a connection to the OPC server. Open the PLC-->Module information Communications tab, and take a screenshot of the present connections reerved for your CPU, that would give us an indication of how many are accessible by the Kepware OPC server and what changes could be suggested. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/97649464 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello Inich; The connection information that you show is for the CPU, through its integrated Profiet port. The CP 343-1 adds connection resources of its own. although a few speciic types will be shared with the CPU. To make this clear (or at least a biit clearer) this document might help: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109747092 You might suggest to your project equiment supplier to open the CP 343-1 properties (online) and check the availabe connections for this CP, they should make sure there is at least one PC connection for the OPC communications. Also ask them which Kepware OPC server version they are using, there seem to be differences between different drivers that could cause an impact. If that does not solve the problem, please contct Kepware support, they usually are very helpful. Hope this helps, |

Hello inich; To make the image you sent us a bt more celear, here is a page from the SIMATIC NET S7-300/400 - Industrial Ethernet / PROFINET Configuring and commissioning S7 CPs for Industrial Ethernet mnual showing an overview of the CP 343-1 parameters to be set by the programming software. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/66993266/38320369291 The screenshot you sent us is the Italian version of the Options/Settings parameters section; probably the other documents sent by the Siemens techs refer to other parameter sections, If you look in the left-side column you will find a link to the Options/Settings parameter group with more idetails, see if the information provided in English clarifies your exchanges with the OEM. Hoep this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello inich; You seem to have been given an ungrateful task, if programming PLCs is not your specialty. Connections on the CP 343-1 can be seen in the Online view of the Hardware configuration, clicking on the CP 343-1, opening the Special Diagnostics tab and looking at the Connections directory. The screenshot below, taken from the attached video (at the very end), should help you open them. Maybe it is best to ask Siemens techs to look at the logs of the CP 343-1 and help determine the surce of the errors uyou encounter. Look at the following document: - What diagnostics information of a CP can you give to the Technical Support in case of a module failure or system error? https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109784078 The section on the NCM Special Diagnostics they are asking you to open has diagnrms in German, I think you have enough of the Italian screenshots you have been working with. Refer to the screenshot to have an English version of the texts. Collect the logs mentionned in the document to send them to Siemens techs through a Support Request, you will find the link on the top of thos page. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
