I have recently started working with PLCs and I am feeling a bit lost. Let me explain my current situation. I need to establish communication between my Siemens PLC (1510SP-1 PN), my PLC card (CM PtP 6ES7137-6AA01-0BA0), and a pump via RS-232.

Do I need to configure the Port_Config, Send_Config, and Receive_Config settings?

Could you please offer some advice on how to proceed?

As you can see in the screenshot, I have started, but I am now stuck, and I am unsure if I am doing it correctly.

Can anyone confirm if I am on the right track?

Anything our volunteers say will be guessing until you study the documentation of the pump. There is a very good chance that Modbus RTU protocol over RS232 is used, for example. Then the instructions you think you need is in actual fact not what you need.

Consider also looking at the in-software help on how to use the instructions you identified. Use the search facility in the forum to get old topic or some application example from the knowledgebase. The spoon-feeding process robs time and invites frustration.

As a general forum usage hint - the volunteers who help out on this forum are more likely to spend invest time on a topic where the topic starter is putting effort into his own problem. I cannot see that you are trying very hard to work. Please prove me wrong.
