Dear Forum Members, Version: Unified V19 Browser: Chrome Goal: start simulation --- Errors in TraceViewer: Project validation failed! ERR_CONNECTION_RESET" Attempts but same error:
Where is the CHmiRuntime folder? Sounds something is wrong there. I assume it's C:\ProgramData\SCADAProjects but not sure How do you properly "rebuild runtime/project"? Maybe unrelated but connecting to WinCC SQL server through SSMS also showed no file. Did I miss some configuration? What else can be done |

Dear MindFlayer, After punching the air through the weekend, we finally hit the ghost: Settings for communication with WinCC Unified Runtime on the runtime device Turns out the user was not a member of SIMATIC HMI VIEWER group. Click Add... > Type what is missing under "Enter the object names to select" field. Then adjust everything in WinCC Unified Configuration as described in the link above. --- Note for Windows 11: Instead of "Administrative Tool", go to Control Panel > Windows Tool > Computer Management > System Tools > Local Users and Groups Note in general: after googling an error, try the "More results from support.industry.siemens.com" link. Sometimes good answers and links are already discussed in the Forum but not visible on the first page of google search. |
