FTDI devices are usually supported by the in-tree driver in the example and IndOS images. Regarding the IndOS you are using, we will need to investigate further if it is enabled and provide a solution as soon as possible.

We have the same issue in Industrial OS 3.2. Can you provide some more information? It looks to us that the kernel has to be rebuild to include the module ftdi_sio.
