What does this mean ? From pure technical point of view it's nonsense, I easily can find a gazillion uses that have nothing in common with Insights Hub. Is this some kind of legal limitation ? Dazed and confused Petr

The firmware is only supported with Insights Hub. Well, we already are using IoT2050 (IndustrialOS) to send data via REST to our SAP. Also, in this post it looks like you personally are advicing someone how to switch from Insights Hub to Azure. It is technically possible to do lot of things with IoT2050 outside of Insights Hub. What is the meaning of the remark in the product sheet ? Is it some kind of legal limitation ? Like "Use it only with Insights Hub OR ELSE..." ? Thanks, Petr

IOT2050 Basic (6ES7647-0BA00-0YA2) / Advanced (6ES7647-0BA00-qYA2) or the specific MindConnect IOT (9AC5303-3MC00-1AA0) as these are different products. Sorry if I've mixed something up a little in the other post. The IOT2050 Basic & Advanced (and also the new SM) are open devices which can be onboarded with an image of your choice (recommended IOT2050 Example Image or IndOS). The MindConnect IOT2050 is (as far as I know) a closed ecosystem which can not be overwritten with any other system. If that worked for you, I would be fine to be proven wrong. BR
