As seen in the OPC UA specification, “Bad_FilterNotAllowed A monitoring filter cannot be used in combination with the attribute specified.”, this error is only, if it is not allowed in combination with the attribute which is not the case for my usage. Or error “Bad_ServiceUnsupported The Server does not support the requested service.”. So in my view BadFilterNotAllowed is wrong according to the OPC specification and i would call it a bug. Also monitoring without a filter works with this plc. It looks like there is something happening for OPC in newer versions, but i haven't found something mentioning monitoring with filters. It would be very usefull to let the opc server on the plc filter out unneeded notifications e.g. for temperature data that will fluctuate even if not in use(workaround to reduce notifications is to only activate it temporarily but not yet tested and also does not prevent sending too many notifications for very small changes while active). |
