S7-400 Redundency & WinCC

Pani Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hi, We are having a S7-400 R System with Ethernet Cards. We have WinCC 6.0. Our Client wants to have a redundant connection throughout the network (Even at the PC End). We are planning to have 1 each of CP163 & CP1612 card on the PC. However I am not clear, if we should use WinCC Red Switch or Red Connect for this. Also I am not sure if this configuration could work.Can someone help please..... Also Suggest if the configuration needs a change Regards Pani

Calm_down Posts: 324 Rating: (30)	Hello, J is right! If you want to have redundancy with a H System of the S7-400 you need S7 Redconnect with SIMATIC NET Driver S7-1613. If you have 1 Ethernet Network you need 1 x CP 1613 and if you have 2 Ethernet Networks you need 2 x CP 1613. If you configure a Connection you will have to use a S7-H-Connection.... That's it. Stay calm.
