Saravana kumar, I may be wrong, but according to this manual, you can use CP cards by using a local_device_id parameter of B#16#00 in the TCON UDT65 structure. The manual does not say that the TRCV and TSEND are incompatible with the CP card so I assume they will work. However, it also says that you can only use the ISO on TCP connection type with CP cards. So it might be of limited use. I have to add that I have never tried it myself to confirm this. But it might be worth a quick test to see what is possible. If I have learned one thing over the last 10 years it is not to take Siemens documention as gospel . Suck it and see . |

Dear all the way I see it is that you will NOT be able to use "T blocks" based communication in any S7-300 via any CP343-1 (and I may stand corrected on this one). You may though very well be able to do so in an S7-400 via a CP443-1 Advanced! The problem is not that the Siemens documentation is in general not thorough enough (it is arguably too thorough, but at least no information is hidden from you). There are some exceptional cases like this one though, where there is - let's say - contradictory information available. For instance, the FAQ How do you program the communication blocks FB63 "TSEND", FB64 "TRECV", FB65 "TCON" and FB66 "TDISCON" in order to use the ISO-on-TCP protocol for data exchange by way of the integrated PROFINET interface of a CPU or by way of the CP443-1 Advanced? clearly states that the CP443-1 Advanced can be used. The What differences are there between the Industrial Ethernet CPs of SIMATIC S7-400? pdf though misses the "X" for "T blocks" usageon the CP443-1 Advanced in its list. Perhaps worthwhile sending a service & support request to Siemens to get to the bottom of this. |
