What software is required to create PC based HMI screen?

lagrangepoint Posts: 6 Rating: (2)	Hi. I recently bought a LOGO! with Soft Comfort starter kit (6ED1057-3BA00-0AA7). I've successfully used the software to create the control logic I need to run the LOGO! with a Text Display. I'd like to create an HMI screen (i.e. graphical user interface) for the LOGO! which I can run on a PC (I could then connect to it remotely via VNC). I'm not particularly interested in running it on a hardware HMI panel (although I might in the future). What software do I need to buy to do this? I've seen videos and tutorials but the software they use always seems a little different to the starter kit I've got. I'm a home enthusiast. Many thanks for any help.

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, two options: 1. OPC-Server SimaticNet or S7-200 PC-Access. Here you need to program the cliet by yourselve. 2. WinCC RunTime. This SW is handeled like the HMI configuration SW. But instead of a HMI panel the PC is used to communicate to a LOGO!. For more detailed information you should contact your local Siemens partner. I'm not an expert in this SW but it works in this way. Hope this helps
