Profibus, communication between two slaves?

Is it possible to communicate directly between these two? Or does the master have to receive the data from one and send it to the other? Thanks in advance, Ton

Here is one particularly interesting FAQ that discusses setting up two S7-300 CPU (configured as Profibus slaves) to allow data exchanges between the two. You will have to request that the programmer of the master take DX comms into consideration, and you will need to coordinate to make sure reserved addreses are available for your exchanges. You could use the AG_SEND (FC5) and AG_RECV (FC6) form the SIMATIC NET CP Library in Step 7 to communicate between two lean-CP's. About this there is already a very interesting Forum topic.
