Uploading S7-300 PLC software over CP 343

Onur G Regular Member Joined: 8/9/2011 Last visit: 9/10/2024 Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	Hi, Our system uses CPU 314C-2DP with modules + CP343 Ind.LAN module(192.168.5.222).Our Industrial PC(192.168.5.220) communicate over router and CP 343 module.i d like to upload PLC software for backup.i tried to connect to CP343 and it is done.But when i cehck the accessible nodes i can only see the CP343(Diagnostic and Communication with this module is OK.) i think the my ip address should be configured in PLC toaccess the CPU and modules. Shall i disbale the Industrial PC and set my ip address as default(192.168.5.220? Is there any possibility to be ONLINE? Thanks in advance,

I disconnected the main PC and changed my PC IP Address as 192.168.5.221 and connected to system over router as same as main PC. I have tried to connect again but unfortunately i can only connect to CP 343. I have two network cards.Shall i configure my network card and IP Nr on SIMATIC Workstation or somewhere else? If you want to download your user program through CP343, you can first upload(through CPU)or configure correctly your hardware configuration in your PC station . Without correcthardwareconfiguration in your PC, you can only find your CP343 and the CPU is not reachable. Configure your hardware first (Or upload through CPU), then try again to downloading from CP343. Good luck! Leon

PLC : 192.168.5.222 Main PC:192.168.5.221 Router : 192.168.5.220 My PC: 192.168.5.229 i can send ping to all components above.i also disconnected the ethernet cable of main PC and assigned main PC address to mine and tried again.But i could not see the modules and CPU. Which kind of hardware configuration i need to see the CPU and modules?

breno.romanini Posts: 3 Rating: (1)	Hi Onur G, You have required help last year, but I had the same doubt only today, so if I still can help, here is what I have done: I have the S7300 with CP343 connected on internal ethernet. 1- create new project (did not configurate any CPU, only the one the software creates automatically), 2- select PLC>UPLOAD STATION TO PG, it opens the SELECT NODE ADDRESS, RACK:0 SLOT:2 (CPU) select local connection (internal ethernet) click on update accessible nodes, it shows CP 343 card with its IP address, select it. press OK It will upload all user program to the project you have created 3- go to hardware configuration and click on icon upload station (CLP image with Up arrow), software will open same SELECT NODE ADDRESS, fill it with the same as option 2 and click OK, it will upload hardware configuration with all the cards from your rack. Regards the PLC doesn't appear because is not direct connected to the PC. The CP in this chase works as a "Router" to the PLC.
