We have machine with Simatic Panel PC477B (HMI-Protool) and it is linked with S7-CPU.

Now our PC477B was Crashed . Is there any possibility to run machine with Standalone PC.

Any hints will be helpful to me.

yes this should be possible if only ProTool RT was used.

But you should show which Version was installed because ProTool is a old and discontinued SW and don't running on actual operation Systems, you should use a PC with Windows XP SP2.

I have couple of clarifiaction need

I have windows SP 3 and Protool V6.0 SP1..

and integrated step7 project but i am not able to retrive the protool back from step7 project

Error which i am getting was OID 5 == OID_POB_CTDRIVER_MANAGER

How to resolve this issue.

2. If i install Protool runtime in stand alone pc... whether my MPI will communicate directly with PLC or i need to add any additional hardwares

i think you should use the Latest SP3 for Protool to open the project

for 2.) you need a MPI CP in the PC, this can be a USB -> MPI like CP5711 or a PCI CP like CP5611.

The IPC477B have a onboard MPI CP but in a nocrmal PC you need a additional CP.
