I followed the document posted below but do i need to configure the LOGO is TIA portal and in LOGOsoft? or can it be seperate?

Each device is configured in its own software.

The S7-1200 only needs to have the communication (hardware configuration) set up - no user program required. It is as-if the LOGO is doing PUT and GET functions to move data into the memory of the S7-1200.

So what i like to acheive is the following. 

I want to send out a signal from the PLC (own program in TIA portal) which is holded by a latching relais in LOGOsoftcomfort V8. I've tried in LOGOsoft to add the PLC itself (by setting it's own IP In the program) After this i tried to Import the TIA portal file to that PLC in TIA portal. 

But now I want that the PLC puts that signal in my LOGO program and that doesn't seem to work :(

The TIA Portal project and the Logosoft program is two loose standing entities. ..and you cannot simulate it - you have to use actual hardware.

In Logosoft you have your code and you tell the LOGO which data / IO needs to be mapped to what VB memory. In the network view you have a network built of a LOGO and an S7 PLC. Then you have a mapping for VB memory going to the DB.

In TIA Portal you need to to configure in the hardware the connection. The application example for the LOGO on this task (your PDF) shows it well. Granted.. it is not very visual - in TIA you do not see the LOGO is connected as a device. The LOGO is only linked in settings, not in picture.

The LOGO side is a bit tricky with the OBA8's new functionality. Do know that the link between the S7 and LOGO devices can be double-clicked to reveal the adjustments and mapping that you need to set between the two.

See what you can do on your own first. Then share what you have for others to have a base to work from to help further.

You need both the logo and the S7-1200 create each connect to the other side.
But as it is but also in the PDF file.

 The document is describing the procedure in TIA V11.0

My question is it also valid for V13??
