TP177A and CP5613 A2 on the same PROFIBUS network

I have a PROFIBUS DP network with the following stations: 1 station: S7-200 with EM277 (address: 40) 3 stations: S7-300 with CPU315-2DP (addresses: 3,4,5) 1 station: PC with CP5613 A2 as master (address: 2) I use PROFIBUS DP comunication with OPC server from SIMATIC NET, LabWindows CVI as SCADA system, and it's working good. My answer is: Can I connect a TP177A to this PROFIBUS network as a local console for S7-300 stations? (I need to display on this panel digital inputs, analog inputs, digital outputs, data block values). May be appear problems with OPC communication if I connect this panel? Or wich is the right way to connect PC as OPC server and TP177A as local console?

Nemo Posts: 3149 Rating: (171)	Hi, well, I am not sure, whether I got your problem correctly, but let me state these things: - accessingvalues in apanel via OPC is NOT possible - accessing values in your S7-CPU via OPC is possible - accessing via XMLin combination withWinCC (native) is possible: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/22701694 => but you aren´t using WinCC (native).... I try to explain So, I a have a PROFIBUS DP network, with CP5613 A2 and SIMATIC NET OPC Server as DP Master, 3 (three) S7-300 stations az DP Slave and 1 (one) CPU226 with EM277 as DP Slave. (1 Master and 4 Slaves) To read/write values from/to OPC Server I use LabWindows CVI. This configuration is working properly. The distance beetween the PLC's, and PC is between 50-150m... and for this I need to put a local console (to display inputs, and to set outputs). For CPU226, I put a TD200, and it's working properly. As a local display for S7-300 stations I want to use a TP 177A touche panel. Using TP177A I can access input/output/data block/M memory from S7-300. I know... I tried... and it's working. But If I connect this device, may appear communication problems beetween the OPC Server and S7-300 stations? I did'nt used before DP Master-Slave communication and TP177A (or any other panel) at the same time on the same network. Any advice? Thanks in advance, Balogh Szabolcs
