Hi Alwin, It is best to have the cpu configured completely. I saw in your previous posts that you are using a cpu410. That is the best CPU to use. Adding components means a cpu stop. Unless youre talking about hardware IO. By means of CIR(Configuration in run), you can define a reserved area which you can later configure in run, without the cpu needing to go to stop. |

Hi, see this entry about CiR and PROFINET : What should you watch out for when reconfiguring in RUN (CiR) if the configuration contains CiR elements and a PROFINET IO system? Regards |

Hi AGrS, What I would like to say more: For Profibus you have CiR, For Profinet, you have to reconfigure the device when you replace this. It's possible to do this in runtime. To transmit the device name to the (for example:) ET200M, the ES and the ET200M must be in the same physical network. A routing via AS backplane is impossible. Configuration of ET200M: 1. Add ET200M to the Profinet bus 2. Select “CP1613(RFC1006) as PG/PC interface 3. Connect the network cable of the CP443-1 to the internal Profinet Interface 3. Change to hardware config, select the ET200M and select PLC->Ethernet->Assign Device Name 4. Select the ET200M (via MAC address or Node flashing test) and confirm with: “Assign name”. 5. Select ET200M and select PLC->Ethernet->Verify Device Name 6. Restore the original configuration: Switch to PC Internal and reconnect to system bus. You can manage the names more easily through PLC->Ethernet->Edit Ethernet Node. |

New question published by Jan Prokop is split to a separate thread with the subject Recommended communication converter Profibus to Profinet. Best regards |
