I have a CPU 1515F-2 PN and I would like to work as IO-Controller and IO-Device.

1. I have configured S7 CPU as IO-Device in Port 1 (X1) and is currently working correctly with another IO-Controller.

2. I would like to setup Port 2 (X2) as IO-Controller of another network. The problem is that the IO-Device just can be attached to the Port 1 (X1) - See picture attached. Why the IO-Device can't be attached to Port 2? Why Interface_2 is not appearing? Do I have to configure anything?

My networks are the following:

First: IO-Controller (192.168.0.111) - IO-Device (S7-1500 with IP 192.168.0.1).

Second: IO-Controller (S7-1500 with IP 192.168.1.1) - IO-Device (192.168.1.100).

the firmware update you can do in two ways:

• copy FW to Memory Card
• go online with TIA Portal. Under "online&diagnostic" from our plc you find the function "firmware update"

PLC model is 6ES7 515-2FM00-0AB0 and in the link which you provided (https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/106656661/firmware-update-f%C3%BCr-cpu-1515f-2-pn?dti=0&lc=de-DE) the last version for that model is V1.8.5.

Does this PLC model supports V2.0? If not, for this PLC model is not possible to configure port X2 as IO-Controller?

your PLC does not support V2.0. Therefore you need a newer HardwareVersion

the successor product is 6ES7515-2FM01-0AB0

So for your PLC model is not possible to configure port X2 as IO-Controller!
