Hello narasim; Unfortunately, for S7 Communication (Get/Put) for example), a S7-300 can only act as a server, and only with a CP 342-5 in the CPU racks (you need a client in the application, such as a S7-400 CPU). Which types of connection/protocols do the S7-300/400 CPUs and the CPs support by default? https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/24352751 If you need to program data exchanges between 2 CPUs 315-2DP connected with a Profibus cable, it would seem easier to use Profibus master-slave connections. Here is a discussion from a few years back with general explanations on the subject, followed by an example of how to use a S7-400 master with a S7 315-2DP slave (you can use a CPU 315-2DP instead of the S7-400 in the example for your project): Two 315-2DP CPUs Profibus Master-Slave communication DP link between CPU 315-2DP (slave) and S7-400 (master) with STEP 7 V5.3 https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/6518822 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier : |
