If you want to use more Power Tags for your systemyou should use WinCC V7.0. There are a lot of other aspects which you have to consider for your system. Bye

(Architecture could be a lil different in this case) there are a lot of aspect to consider. the best (...or powerfull) applicaton could be "SIMATIC Batch" (for PCS7) and C.A.S. Application (Central Archive Server). It's designed for Batch production & FDA certified but it's not the only possibility. Regards

Regards Basicaly you need your PLC to be connected to ethernet using a CP card.The same with a HMI ( OP or TP from siemens) .With this set-up you can connect your PLC to any PC (ie using a VB or Delphi program you can go and send and receive information via TCPIP connection.) Or on the PC side you can use a WinCC ( with or without the PCS7 layer on top of it) or WinCC flexible.With both its easy to connect oto Siemens PLC's and with scripting you can get access to production scedule.A wincc is well suited to say get counter from a PLC and compare these with a production scedule .
