Hi

Why have Siemens opted to implement a unidirectional process for the OPC UA client? This adds a lot of work to mapp variables back and forth in the PLC program, for conventional OPC UA communication it is possible to subscribe to a variable that is read/write enabled and both read it and write it. I can't find any explanation to why the implementation isn't bidirectional. You should be able to use the same "list" to read and write and have a single point for the data. Do you have any input on this?

Which TIA Portal Version do you use?

I do not know why they developed this way, but As I can see you have to differ between Read an Write Lists.
