Today I'm also facing this kind of problem. I have S7 300 CPU with CP 340 RS 232C Point to Point Communication Module. I am trying to send data to Epson Lx-310, I use P_Send Blocks for printing. At the moment I energized the blocks the txd and rxd indicator light in communication module is blinking for 4-5 seconds but the printer didn't print anything then after awhile the communication module sf light turn to red. I hope anyone here can help me with this problem.

Hello,

really hard to say where is your problem because more of reasons.

1. check your string to printer first with some serial PC app (like Hercules or similar) to be sure is working

2. we don't know what really string you send to printer, what exactly you expect to print

3. how you have configured CP (HW cfg)

4. what SW you are use for programming?

5. what events your CPU diagnostic buffer shows?

1. I didn't try to check my int data to printer, but later I download and install hercules application to check if it is working.

2. I want to print an int data type, like motor voltage, ampere and rpm.

3. I configured my communication module base on printer default communication settings that I have read in epson lx 310 manual.

4. What is SW? Do you mean what software I am using for programming. I use Tia Portal V13.

5. I attached below the diagnostic buffer from communication module and the construction of my program.
