Kartik33 Posts: 22 Rating: (1)	Hi, We are using FAI6x15Bit HART(6ES7 336-4GE00-0AB0). We have wired AI channel as2-wire transmitter (internal sensor supply) as per https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/attachments/24690377/24690377_Wiring_Voting_AI_V33_en.pdf We have got error that Value is higher than the maximum allowed input range as per attached image. dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 1/12/2026 Posts: 12480 Rating: (2722)	Hello Kartik; This can happen if the sensors you are using are not really 2-Wire transmitters, but receive power from their own base units (4-Wire connection). 2-Wire sensors expect power over the current loop from the AI module. If they also get power from somewhere else, the signal they generate will always exceed the input module limits.So MopS04's suggestion to measure the input current on your signal will give a good indication that this could be the problem. If you find that the input current is too high (over 20 mA) change toe configuration of the analog input channel to 4-Wire. Hope this help, Daniel Chartier

For testing purposes, I am not a connecting real sensor rather than I am using Yokogawa to make calibrator to giving 4 to 20 mA. so there is no issue of exceeding input current from 20 mA. Thanks.
